MEMENTO MORI is an ongoing body of work that speaks to finding the light in times of darkness. Responding to her parents’ physical and mental decline, McNab ruminates on mortality and the cyclical nature of existence, prompting deeper self-inquiry and artistic transformation.

Drawn to explore alternative healing modalities such as Kinesiology and Reiki, McNab fosters a mystical lens on life and death, translating these ideas into symbolic imagery and spiritualist colour theory. Memento mori is a Latin phrase that translates to "remember that you must die". It is an artistic and philosophical concept designed to remind us of our own mortality and the fleeting nature of time. The concept serves as a powerful tool to strip away trivial worries, prioritize what truly matters, and live authentically in the present moment.

Central to her practice is the belief that art can address mental health and wellbeing: reducing social isolation and anxiety while fostering hope, enjoyment, and optimism. MEMENTO MORI functions as personal catharsis and public remedy, inviting viewers to find meaning within cycles of loss and renewal and to experience art as a vehicle for healing and insight.
